A 2.8 MWDC solar project in White Pine, TN, completed by Clearloop, Intuit, and REI, aims to modernize the electric grid in rural East Tennessee and provide renewable energy for local schools. This project is estimated to prevent over 162 million pounds of carbon emissions and power nearly 400 homes in the community. Intuit and REI supported the development of the project through Clearloop’s unique approach to reclaiming their carbon footprint. In addition to providing renewable energy, Intuit is donating renewable energy certificates to local schools in Jefferson and Hamblen counties, making them among the first green-powered schools in Tennessee.
