Home energy management company Span has expanded its product family, introducing new smart electrical panels to accommodate different needs. The Span Panel 48 is ideal for new home construction, offering energy management, storage, and charging capabilities. The Span Panel 32 is suitable for retrofit and new construction projects, providing whole-home backup management and reducing electrification costs. The Span Panel 16/24 is designed for retrofit electrification, offering a smaller form factor and lower costs for major electric load additions.

The Span Meter 8 pairs with smart meters to provide advanced metering and demand flexibility. Span is also introducing 208-V versions of its panels to enable electrification in multi-family and small commercial buildings. The company’s PowerUp functionality, released last year, ensures customers do not exceed their utility service limits, making it easier and more cost-effective to electrify homes and save on energy bills.

Span’s CEO, Arch Rao, states that the expanded product line will help accelerate the electrification of various building types. With a goal to electrify 10 million buildings in a decade, Span aims to meet market demands and deliver value to customers at all stages of the electrification process. The company plans to roll out the expanded family of panels starting in the fourth quarter of this year.
