Energiequelle, an international project developer and operations manager, has opened an office in Athens to enter the Greek renewable energy market. Polydoros Pagonis has been appointed as the Country Manager to drive forward the preparations for this new venture. Greece, after a crisis over a decade ago, is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and has set ambitious goals for phasing out coal, reducing emissions, and achieving net zero by 2050.
Pagonis expressed excitement about supporting Energiequelle’s international growth by entering the Greek market, citing the country’s favorable conditions for renewable energy development. Energiequelle has been actively analyzing potential markets in recent years and has already established branches in six countries, including Greece. The company’s Senior Vice President Project Management, Gregor Weber, is confident that they will achieve project successes in the new countries in the near future.
