LONGi achieves record-breaking efficiency of 27.3% on HJT solar cells during laboratory testing

1. LONGi has broken a world-record for silicon solar cell efficiency, reaching 27.30% under laboratory conditions.
2. LONGi also holds the record for efficiency in crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells, set at 33.9% in November 2023.
3. The record-breaking efficiency was announced alongside the launch of the new Hi-MO 9 solar module, which can reach 660 W and has a conversion efficiency of up to 24.43%.

LONGi has achieved another world-record for silicon solar cell efficiency, with new silicon HBC solar cells reaching 27.30% under laboratory conditions, certified by ISFH in Germany. The company now holds world records for efficiency in both crystalline silicon solar cells and crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells, with an efficiency record of 33.9% set in November 2023.

The announcement of the new record coincided with the unveiling of the Hi-MO 9 solar module, capable of reaching 660 W. This module is based on second-generation HPBC solar cell technology and the TaiRay wafer introduced by LONGi in March 2024, with a conversion efficiency of up to 24.43%.

Vice President Dennis She of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. highlighted the Hi-MO 9 module’s world-leading power generation capability and superiority in land-use scenarios. The module’s high reliability ensures consistent performance throughout its lifespan, making it a valuable choice for power plant owners seeking efficient land use and maximum sunlight utilization.

Overall, LONGi continues to push the boundaries of solar cell efficiency and technology, providing innovative solutions for renewable energy generation and sustainability.
