The Kraken platform is expected to accelerate the smart meter rollout, reduce leaks, and simplify processes and payment methods for improved customer service.
Louise Manfredi, CEO of Leep Utilities, believes that partnering with Kraken is a logical and exciting step in achieving their growth strategy and addressing challenges such as climate change and population growth. The platform will enable customers to better understand their water usage through a new customer portal, promoting efficiency and transparency.
The implementation of Kraken by Leep Utilities follows Portsmouth Water becoming the platform’s first water client in 2023. Kraken, part of the Octopus Energy group, also provides water account management services through a license with Severn Trent. Leep Utilities aims to utilize Kraken to serve its current customer base of 37,000 and future water connections being developed.
Overall, Kraken’s partnership with Leep Utilities is expected to enhance customer service, promote water efficiency, and streamline operations for the British water company.
