Recall.ai, a developer infrastructure startup backed by Y Combinator, has raised a $10 million Series A funding round, bringing its total raised amount to over $12 million. The startup offers infrastructure and a unified API that allows companies to access raw data from virtual meeting platforms to build AI-powered meeting bots and applications. The new capital will be used to grow the team and build integrations with more data sources.

Co-founders David Gu and Amanda Zhu dropped out of the University of Waterloo to start Recall.ai in response to the increase in remote work and the demand for generative AI tools. Their platform eliminates the need for companies to build their own infrastructure to apply AI to conversations, enabling rapid deployment of AI-powered products and features.

Recall.ai is SOC2, GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA compliant, storing audio and video recordings for a maximum of seven days before automatic deletion. The startup charges per hour of audio and video processed through its APIs and has seen significant revenue growth with over 300 enterprise customers.

Led by Ridge Ventures, Recall.ai’s Series A funding round also included investments from Industry Ventures, Y Combinator, IrregEx, Bungalow Capital, Hack VC, and other existing investors. The startup plans to continue expanding its team and integrations to meet the growing demand for AI-powered meeting tools.
