1. Webflow acquires Intellimize, a startup using AI for website personalization.
2. Majority of Intellimize team will join Webflow, with some staff either leaving or being let go.
3. Intellimize will continue to be sold standalone, while also integrating with Webflow services to enhance personalization efforts.

Webflow, a web design and hosting platform that has raised over $330 million at a $4 billion valuation, has expanded into marketing optimization with the acquisition of Intellimize, a startup utilizing AI to personalize websites for unique visitors. The majority of the Intellimize team will join Webflow, with some staff members accepting outplacement packages or severance. Webflow CEO Vlad Magdalin believes Intellimize’s product aligns well with the needs of Webflow customers looking to personalize and optimize their websites to drive business results.

Intellimize, founded by former Twitter executive Guy Yalif in 2016, focuses on generating personalized web pages for visitors using AI technology. The platform aims to increase customer satisfaction by providing customized content, which has been shown to boost revenue and marketing efficiency. While Intellimize faces competition in the AI-powered marketing space, the company has already secured a significant market share with notable clients like Sumo Logic, Dermalogica, and ZoomInfo.

After being acquired by Webflow, Intellimize will continue to be sold as a standalone product to non-Webflow customers but will integrate more closely with Webflow’s services in the future. Yalif will join Webflow as the “head of personalization,” overseeing efforts to enhance product personalization at Webflow. The integration of Intellimize into Webflow’s platform is expected to provide customers with a more seamless and comprehensive website building, design, and optimization experience.
