Report: Billionaire Dan Snyder funded an anti-Trump movie without knowledge

– Billionaire and Trump supporter, Dan Snyder, funded a Donald Trump movie called “The Apprentice”
– Snyder became furious after realizing the film portrays Trump negatively
– The film, directed by Ali Abbasi, follows Trump’s early business years and includes scenes of violence against his former wife, Ivana Trump

Billionaire and Donald Trump supporter Dan Snyder contributed money to a Donald Trump biopic called “The Apprentice,” directed by Ali Abbasi and starring Sebastian Stan as Trump. The film, which follows Trump’s early years in business, angered Snyder upon viewing in February, as it depicted Trump in an unflattering light, including a scene where the character gets violent with his former wife, Ivana Trump. Although Kinematics, Snyder’s film company, attempted to prevent the film’s release through legal battles, they do not have the copyright to halt it.

Despite Snyder’s financial involvement in the movie, he was not part of the decision-making process about its creative direction. Other investors in the film include the governments of Canada, Ireland, and Denmark. The film is scheduled to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and Trump has not yet commented on its portrayal of him. So far, little else is known about the film, and few have had the chance to view it ahead of the premiere. Despite Snyder’s initial support for the project, he was ultimately disappointed by the film’s portrayal of Trump.
