1. Former Tesla factory workers filed a proposed class action lawsuit in California for labor law violations.
2. The lawsuit is seeking over $5 million in damages and includes claims of failure to pay overtime, provide sick time, and more.
3. Tesla is also facing a racial discrimination lawsuit and a wrongful death suit related to its autopilot feature.

Former Tesla factory workers in California have filed a proposed class action lawsuit against the company, alleging violations of labor laws. The workers claim Tesla failed to pay overtime, provide sick time or adequate breaks, and reimburse employees for work expenses. They are seeking over $5 million in damages and hope to represent thousands of Tesla employees in the lawsuit.

In addition to the labor law violations, Tesla is also facing a racial discrimination lawsuit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The complaint alleges that the company allowed harassment against Black workers in its California plants. Tesla is set to go to trial next week in a wrongful death suit brought by the family of an Apple engineer who died in a crash while using autopilot in his Model X. The family claims the autopilot design is defective and responsible for the engineer’s death.

The lawsuit against Tesla comes at a time when the company is already facing scrutiny for its treatment of workers and safety concerns related to its vehicles. Tesla has not yet responded to requests for comment on the lawsuits.
