Title sponsor ABB is gearing up for season 10 of the FIA Formula E Championship in São Paulo, Brazil with multiple initiatives to support low carbon solutions and improve e-mobility in the country. A partnership between ABB and the Graal Group will see the installation of over 40 fast and semi-fast chargers at Graal forecourts and service stations in five major Brazilian states, aiding in the transition to an EV charging network.

Rede Graal, a network of bus stations in Brazil, will benefit from ultra-fast charging capabilities for EV drivers, allowing vehicles to be recharged in less than 30 minutes. ABB’s technology used in the Formula E World Championship will be utilized for these charging solutions. ABB has a strong history of implementing technological solutions in Brazil and is excited to showcase projects across e-mobility, smart cities, and energy solutions during the race in São Paulo.

In addition to their efforts in e-mobility, ABB has also entered a power generation partnership with one of the largest wastewater companies in Latin America, using Higra turbine and amphibious pump technology to generate renewable energy from high water pressure within the company’s pipes. ABB is also providing integrated gas analysis systems for emissions monitoring to various customers in Brazil, aiding in meeting environmental targets.
