AEROCOMPACT unveils new racking system for vertical and east-west solar panel alignment

– AEROCOMPACT launched SN2 Q PLUS, an extension to their flat roof solar racking system
– SN2 Q PLUS supports modules up to 1310 mm by 2500 mm and mounts them in an east-west orientation
– The system allows for customizable inter-row spacing, cost-effective long side clamping, and installation on various roof types with up to 7 ballast positions under each module

AEROCOMPACT has launched the SN2 Q PLUS, an extension to their COMPACTFLAT SN2 flat roof solar racking system. This system supports modules up to 1310 mm by 2500 mm and mounts them in an east-west orientation on the long side of the module. The high- and low-side inter-row spacing is separately adjustable using AEROCOMPACT’s design tool, AEROTOOL, providing design flexibility for different roof configurations.

The SN2 Q PLUS system uses shared parts for a cost-effective dual-tilt long side clamping solution, allowing modules to be placed individually rather than in pairs. This unique feature minimizes the impact of roof obstructions on the layout. The system is designed for various roof types and angles, with up to 7 different ballast positions under each module.

The racking system can be preassembled and ballasted before the modules are mounted, giving project teams flexibility in installation. SN2 Q PLUS conforms to UL 2703 standards, is integrated into AEROTOOL, and comes with a 25-year warranty. This system is designed to maximize system size, minimize shadowing, and facilitate operations and maintenance for flat roof solar installations.
