Arevon Commences Construction on 228-MW Solar Project in Indiana

Arevon Energy, in collaboration with CenterPoint Energy and Bechtel, along with participating landowners, held a groundbreaking event for the construction of the 228-MWDC Posey Solar Project in Posey County, Indiana. Expected to be operational by mid-2025, the clean energy generated by the project will be distributed to meet the energy needs of homes and businesses in southwestern Indiana. Arevon and CenterPoint Energy announced their partnership for the project in 2021, with CenterPoint Energy acquiring final approval from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in 2023. The project is expected to create over 200 construction jobs, contribute lease payments to landowners, and bring in more than $30 million to local governments over its 35-year lifespan.

Posey Solar will also include a pollinator garden, support local businesses during construction, and provide contributions to the Marrs Township Fire Department.
