X-ELIO, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, has started construction on a solar plant in Ube, Japan. The groundbreaking ceremony was led by the company’s Chief Business Development Officer, Elena Molina, and Country Manager, Luis Perezagua. The plant, named Funaki, will have a capacity of 14 MW and is expected to produce 17,245.72 MWh of clean energy annually. This project adds to X-ELIO’s existing portfolio of 379 MW of solar power plants in Japan, along with 164 MW of projects in development stages.
The construction of the Funaki solar plant represents X-ELIO’s commitment to driving the transition to renewable energy in Japan and contributing to the country’s net-zero targets for 2050.
