– Goldbeck Solar contracted to build Kabeljauwbeek ground-mounted solar plant for Eneco Solar in the Netherlands
– Solar park will have around 88,000 solar modules and generate 44,500 MWh/y of green electricity
– Construction of the 51 MWp solar park began in March 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024
GOLDBECK SOLAR has been awarded a contract to construct the Kabeljauwbeek ground-mounted solar plant in Woensdrecht, the Netherlands, for Eneco Solar. This solar park will feature around 88,000 solar modules integrated into a wind farm, generating approximately 44,500 MWh of green electricity annually. Construction of the 51 MWp plant began in March and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Located in Nieuwe Dijk, Ossendrecht, near the Netherlands-Belgium border, the Kabeljauwbeek plant will have the capacity to power around 15,000 households. The decentralized inverter system and 88,000 modules will be used for this park, with existing grid connections utilized to prevent any overloads. Despite challenges posed by existing supply lines within the construction site, detailed 3D visualization was carried out to ensure smooth construction. Native plants will also be added to attract insects and benefit local wildlife.
With a track record of building 40+ solar power plants in the Netherlands, GOLDBECK SOLAR is committed to renewable energy development in Europe. Thorsten Lerch, Head of Profit Center Netherlands at GOLDBECK SOLAR, expressed pride in partnering with Eneco Solar on this project.
