Renewable energy company ENHOL has placed an order for the Cascante wind farm in Navarra, Spain, totaling 51 MW. The order includes the supply and installation of eight V162-6.2 MW wind turbines in 6.4 MW power mode, along with a 20-year service agreement. Vestas, the supplier, expressed gratitude for ENHOL’s trust in their latest technology and highlighted the contribution the project will make to Spain’s energy transition.

The turbine delivery is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, with commissioning planned for the first half of 2025. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to prevent 23,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to removing 15,500 European passenger cars from the road each year. The project signifies the increasing adoption of Vestas’ EnVentus platform in Spain.
