– Explore the Guadalupe Rim area in the Lincoln National Forest, including views of the mountains and forests along the rough roads.
The journey continues from Part 1 as the road moves from the desert into the mountain range. The road gradually climbs with ups and downs, offering views of the plains to the east and the Sacramento Mountains in the distance. The road enters the Lincoln National Forest’s Guadalupe Ranger District, where the landscape slowly becomes greener with shrubs and limestone.
As the road reaches the edge of the Guadalupe Rim, expansive views of Otero Mesa and other mountain ranges become visible. The journey continues through rough terrain with limited human presence but stunning sunset views. The family in the EV9 electric vehicle starts to notice the decreasing battery charge as they head towards Queen RV Park for a recharge.
Despite not taking the scenic drive back home, the trip through El Paso offers beautiful views of the Guadalupe Mountains. The author plans to return in the future to explore more of the area with a Bolt EUV electric vehicle. The journey concludes at Queen RV Park with a full charge overnight. The family enjoyed the adventure and the scenic beauty of the Guadalupe Rim and surrounding mountains.
