The FRV chief innovation officer expressed the importance of the Clay Tye project in expanding their presence in the UK energy storage market. This project signifies a significant milestone for FRV’s sustainable business model and market leadership. FRV has also successfully launched other storage projects like Contego and Holes Bay, with similar capacity, demonstrating their commitment to future assets in the country.
FRV secured financing from Natixis CIB UK for the Clay Tye and Contego projects, covering a significant portion of the total project costs. This funding, totaling £61m, includes debt service reserve facilities and a VAT facility. The completion of the Clay Tye project marks a step forward in FRV’s mission to establish itself as a key player in the UK energy storage market.
