Aream Group and Eiffel Investment Group have formed a joint venture, Aream Solar Ventures, to develop clean energy projects in Germany with a focus on establishing 500MW of solar projects. The JV will develop traditional ground-mounted and agri-photovoltaic plants in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, and Brandenburg. Eiffel will provide funding for the projects, while Aream will oversee project development. The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed. This venture is part of Eiffel’s strategy to invest in renewable energy across Europe and marks its entry into the German market.
Aream Group CEO, Markus Voigt, sees this collaboration as a stepping stone in their German project development portfolio. The partnership with Aream allows Eiffel to leverage their expertise in the photovoltaic value chain for success. This venture is Eiffel’s sixth European investment in the transition infrastructure fund. In previous agreements, Eiffel has entered into partnerships with Landinfra Energy in Sweden and R Power in Romania to develop renewable energy projects with a collective capacity of over 1.8GW.
