UAB Renerga has selected Nordex to supply 40 turbines for a 264MW wind farm in Lithuania. The N163/6.X turbines under the Delta4000 series will be installed at the Pagegiai wind farm in the western region of the country. The wind farm is expected to generate 602GWh of clean energy annually, with Nordex mounting the turbines on tubular steel towers. Construction is set to begin in 2022, with completion expected in 2026.

Nordex Group and UAB Renerga are beginning a collaboration with the supply contract for the Pagegiai project. UAB Renerga secured a loan of €100m from Nordic Investment Bank for the wind farm’s construction. The electricity generated will be purchased by Achema Group to produce green hydrogen for ammonia production. UAB Renerga aims to further Lithuania’s renewable energy goals through the wind farm project.

Nordex has recently secured contracts for wind turbine supply projects in South Africa and Spain, with plans to deliver a total of 800MW of wind turbines to RWE by 2026. The company remains committed to providing clean energy solutions to support renewable energy goals globally.
