– Ohmium International and HYGRO are partnering on a hydrogen production and distribution project in North Holland
– The pilot project will combine Ohmium’s PEM electrolyzers with HYGRO wind turbines at the EWEF Wind Farm in Wieringerwerf
– The collaboration aims to create a sustainable energy supply chain for green hydrogen distribution in the Netherlands and Europe
Ohmium International, a green hydrogen company specializing in PEM electrolyzers, is collaborating with HYGRO, a Dutch provider of green hydrogen, to launch a new hydrogen production and distribution project in North Holland. The pilot project will combine Ohmium’s PEM electrolyzers with HYGRO wind turbines at the EWEF Wind Farm in Wieringerwerf, aiming to produce green hydrogen for regional fueling stations. The project, set to start in 2025, will involve 5.4 MW of PEM Electrolyzers with potential for expansion in the future.
The collaboration between Ohmium and HYGRO is based on their shared vision for an integrated green hydrogen supply chain to promote sustainability and a fossil-free future. Ohmium’s PEM electrolyzers are designed for industry and transportation applications, complementing HYGRO’s technologies focused on developing an efficient hydrogen production and distribution system. The project’s goal is to create an ecosystem for green hydrogen distribution that addresses key challenges in the Netherlands and the European Union.
By utilizing cutting-edge power electronics, Ohmium’s PEM electrolyzers will be integrated directly with HYGRO’s wind turbines, enabling streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective green hydrogen production. Both companies are excited to work together to build a sustainable energy supply chain throughout the Netherlands. The collaboration highlights the potential of combining different technologies to create a more sustainable energy future.
