Prevalon from Mitsubishi Power Americas Partners with Battery Manufacturer Rept

1. Prevalon will integrate Rept’s long-format modules into its 511 Integrated Energy Storage Platform for project delivery.
2. Rept will manufacture cells and modules, which will be assembled by a third party with input from Rept and Prevalon.
3. Prevalon has deployed 1.5GWh of BESS across North and South America with Rept battery cells and aims to increase this beyond 10GWh in the short term.

Prevalon has announced the integration of Rept’s long-format modules into its 511 Integrated Energy Storage Platform, delivered as a complete assembly to project sites. Rept will manufacture cells and modules, to be assembled by a third party with input from Rept and Prevalon for project delivery. Prevalon CEO Thomas Cornell highlighted their involvement in design related to specific markets, utility requirements, and grid interconnection, along with layering software onto the system.

With Rept’s experience across the battery supply chain and affiliation with Tsingshan group, Prevalon sees potential for growth, having already deployed 1.5GWh of BESS across the Americas, aiming to increase beyond 10GWh in the near future. The partnership designates Prevalon as the service provider for Rept’s battery module fleet throughout the Americas.

Prevalon, a recently spun out BESS company from Mitsubishi Power Americas, secured a large-scale order from Idaho Power. Rept has also signed supply deals with other system integrators such as Powin and Energy Vault. Solar Media will host the 2nd Energy Storage Summit Asia in Singapore in July 2024, aiming to provide clarity on the growing energy storage market by bringing together various stakeholders.
