Brightcore Energy has been chosen to develop a 2.2-MWDC portfolio of solar projects for Princeton University’s Facilities Organization in Princeton, New Jersey. The projects will be installed on rooftop and canopy-mounted structures across the campus, with four arrays planned in total.
Two rooftop projects will be installed on the TIGER and CUB buildings, while two canopy-mounted projects will be located at the Meadows and Stadium garages. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2024, with Brightcore expressing pride in being selected for the project.
Mike Richter, President of Brightcore, commended Princeton University for its rigorous selection standards and commitment to sustainability. The university aims to achieve Net Carbon Neutrality by 2046, with a focus on using renewables as the campus energy source.
Princeton’s Sustainability Action Plan emphasizes the use of renewables, making this project with Brightcore a key component in the university’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. The partnership reflects Princeton’s leadership in sustainability and commitment to environmental stewardship.
