Renewable Power Capital (RPC) has selected Procter & Gamble as the offtake partner for its 140MW Sörlidberget wind park in Sweden, with a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in place. The wind park is part of a cluster of four wind farms in Sweden, with RPC set to supply Procter & Gamble with more than 90% of the project’s output. Operations for the wind cluster are expected to start between late 2025 and early 2026, with a collective output of 553MW once completed. RPC has also signed three other ten-year PPAs with LyondellBasell and Ardagh for this wind cluster, contracting out almost all of the future output.
Steve Hunter, managing director of Power Markets and Asset Management at RPC, highlighted this deal as a major milestone for their largest investment. RPC has been expanding its footprint across Europe, with onshore wind operations in Sweden, Finland, and Poland, as well as solar projects in Spain in collaboration with Benbros Solar. In addition, RPC announced a joint venture with Elmya Energy to develop a 4GW pipeline of battery energy storage system assets in England and Scotland. These developments demonstrate RPC’s commitment to renewable energy expansion and partnerships within the industry.
