BW Solar recently announced the sale of 12 community solar projects in New York with a total capacity of 76.7 MW to Catalyze, a company focused on clean energy transitions. The projects consist of six pre-construction projects and six projects in early-stage development, all located in upstate New York. These projects are expected to be operational within the next two years.

Catalyze, based in Houston, Texas, is known for making renewable energy accessible to commercial and industrial businesses. They will leverage their experience in executing projects in New York to ensure the success of these community solar projects. The innovative practices in solar development employed by Catalyze include using an all-terrain tracker for a project on a challenging hill to reduce construction costs and environmental disruption.
