Siemens Smart Infrastructure has introduced Electrification X, a suite of applications aimed at helping various sectors improve productivity, reliability, asset utilization, energy efficiency, and sustainable innovation through IoT SaaS offerings. This product is designed to transform electrification infrastructure by managing, optimizing, and automating the infrastructure of commercial, industrial, and utility customers, ultimately reducing costs and CO2 emissions.

The software, part of Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio, is developed with principles of interoperability, flexibility, openness, availability as a service, and high cybersecurity standards. The launch of Electrification X includes features such as load management, network fault management, asset management, sustainability energy management, and OT companion. Aral AG, a BP Group subsidiary, has been announced as the first pilot customer to use Electrification X Load Management for managing EV charging stations in Germany and Austria.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure emphasizes the importance of digitalization in driving sustainability and enabling companies to digitally transform their electrification infrastructure at scale. Electrification X complements Siemens’ other offerings like Building X and Gridscale X, marking the latest addition to their SaaS and IoT portfolio in the electrification sector.
