German wind and solar developer Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen GmbH & Co. (UKA) has ordered 39 turbines from Nordex, expected to provide a total generation capacity of 253 MW. The turbines of the N149/5.X, N163/5.X, and N163/6.X series will be installed in various federal states in 2025, with Nordex also providing premium service for 20 years. UKA has ordered a total of 450 MW of wind turbines from Nordex in the last three months, showing a focus on project implementation. This success follows UKA’s achievement in the ‘Wind on Land’ tender round in February, where they secured almost 18% of awarded projects, contributing to Germany’s energy transition.
UKA’s Managing Partner expressed confidence in UKA’s continued role in Germany’s energy supply, with Nordex being a strong partner. Nordex’s Vice President for Central Region highlighted the trust and partnership between the two companies, aiming to further progress energy transition.
