Array Technologies is set to begin construction on a new $50 million manufacturing campus in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. This project, supported by U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and Senators Martin Heinrich and Ben Ray Luján, is expected to create good-paying jobs and strengthen the domestic solar supply chain. CEO Kevin G. Hostetler highlights the partnership between government entities in promoting pro-growth policies and supporting local businesses.
Founded in Albuquerque 30 years ago, Array Technologies is a leading manufacturer of utility-scale solar tracking technology. The company’s expansion will bring new manufacturing careers to the community, with over 300 residents expected to be employed at the new 216,000-ft2 campus. The Inflation Reduction Act’s production tax credit played a crucial role in making this investment possible.
The project also received support from the Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) job-creation fund, as well as economic assistance from the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. With a projected economic impact of over $300 million over 10 years, Array’s expansion is a significant step towards promoting American energy independence and supporting the clean energy future.
