– Boviet Solar plans to start a solar panel manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina
– The facility will be located in Indigreen Corporate Park and will support 900 jobs
– Ningbo Boway Alloy Materials Co. announced plans to build a 3-GW TOPCon cell plant in Vietnam in addition to supporting Boviet Solar’s expansion in North Carolina

Boviet Solar has announced plans to establish a solar panel manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina, known as “Project Gen.” With the support of incentives and grants from Pitt County and the North Carolina Dept. of Commerce, the $294 million refab of an existing building in Indigreen Corporate Park is expected to create 900 jobs. General Manager Jimmy Xie expressed pride in bringing manufacturing excellence to the U.S. to support the local economy and expand the use of renewable energy in the country.

Additionally, Ningbo Boway Alloy Materials Co., a Chinese materials manufacturer that supports Boviet Solar, plans to build a 3-GW TOPCon cell plant in Vietnam and a 2-GW module assembly factory in North Carolina. Boviet Solar, originally founded in Vietnam 11 years ago, aims to accelerate the global renewable revolution by delivering high-quality, locally made PV modules. Despite Chinese backing, Boviet Solar’s panels were excluded from antidumping/countervailing duties on Southeast Asian imports last year. The company’s expansion plans reflect a commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions while creating jobs and economic opportunities in both the U.S. and Vietnam.
