Full Circle Wind Services has secured a long-term maintenance contract with Zephyrus Green Energy for the four Enercon E-70 turbines at the Strathallan wind farm project in Scotland. Following site commissioning, Full Circle will start services in May 2024, working on turbines installed by Business in Wind. Scotland’s reliance on wind technologies for renewable electricity generation is evident, with more than three-quarters of its renewable electricity coming from wind in 2023. Scotland continues to generate more electricity than it uses, with net exports worth an estimated £1.5 billion.
CEO of Full Circle, Billy Stevenson, expressed delight in being selected for this contract, highlighting their expertise in multi-brand O&M services. The collaboration with Green Cat Renewables and Zephyrus Green Energy aims to maintain the turbines in optimal condition and support their energy contribution to the Scottish grid. CEO of Green Cat Group, Gavin Catto, sees the Strathallan project as an opportunity for innovation, with plans to integrate wind and solar energy for hydrogen generation. This co-location of technologies represents a novel response to evolving energy industry needs in Scotland.
