The partnership will focus on deploying Enphase IQ8 Microinverters and IQ Battery 5P in the UK.
Octopus Energy customers can now integrate Enphase’s solar and battery systems into their energy plans to access affordable residential energy rates. Octopus Energy will use its proprietary software platform, Kraken, to allow clients to create VPPs with Enphase’s systems and dynamically manage customer batteries to reduce energy usage during peak times.
The integration between the two technologies will allow Octopus Energy customers who install Enphase Energy Systems to benefit from Octopus’ smart tariffs, such as Intelligent Octopus Flux, which can help save money on electricity bills. Together, Enphase Energy and Octopus Energy aim to provide cost-effective and flexible energy usage to over seven million households in the UK and accelerate the broader energy transition.
