Turboden and Fervo Energy have joined forces to revolutionize carbon-free energy production by enhancing geothermal systems. Fervo Energy’s Cape Station project in Utah is a major milestone in the geothermal energy sector, with a total project capacity of around 400 MW. Turboden’s expertise in organic rankine cycle (ORC) technology will be utilized for the initial 90 MW phase of the project, involving the installation of three generators with six ORC turbines for optimal energy conversion from geothermal sources. This collaboration signifies a step towards providing clean, continuous energy solutions to meet rising demand.

Tim Latimer, CEO of Fervo Energy, expressed excitement about the partnership with Turboden and the potential for scaling up clean energy generation. Paolo Bertuzzi, CEO of Turboden, highlighted the alignment of missions between the two companies in driving sustainable energy innovation. The success of the Cape Station project and other initiatives in North America has led Turboden to consider establishing a US-based office with the support of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, aiming to expand their presence in the region.
