SiftHub, an AI startup founded by Manisha Raisinghani, has raised $5.5 million in seed funding to develop its AI assistant aimed at assisting sales and presales teams in focusing more on relationship-building tasks and less on administrative work. The company’s generative AI assistant integrates with various sources of information and supports multiple languages, enabling teams to complete tasks such as infosec questionnaires, vendor assessments, and RFPs through conversation.

Raisinghani emphasizes the importance of salespeople spending time on building relationships with customers, rather than getting bogged down in technical tasks. SiftHub’s AI assistant is based on open-source technology and uses retrieval augmented generation to improve the quality of generated content. The system prioritizes accuracy over providing immediate answers to prevent misinformation.

The startup was inspired by Raisinghani’s experience advising blockchain startup Polygon Labs and the challenges of gathering information scattered across various platforms. SiftHub aims to streamline the efforts of sales and presales teams by providing a comprehensive solution for accessing critical business information. The company plans to target B2B firms selling to mid-market and enterprise customers and is backed by investors such as Matrix Partners India and Blume Ventures.

With a team of 15, including former entrepreneurs, SiftHub aims to address the evolving expectations placed on sales teams in the modern buying environment. The funding will be used to expand the product team, enhance the AI assistant, and support the company’s market expansion efforts. The startup plans to launch its AI assistant later this year after gathering feedback from early users.
