– Aurora plans to triple revenues to AUS$100 million over the next five years and support ARC Wind’s growth in the Australian wind energy sector.
Scottish energy specialist, Aurora Energy Services Ltd, has acquired ARC Wind in Australia, expanding its international capabilities. ARC Wind is a leading provider of services to the renewables sector in Australia, with annual revenues of more than AUS$30 million and over 250 staff. Aurora plans to significantly increase revenues to AUS$100 million over the next five years and grow staff numbers to around 750 by offering additional services such as wind turbine repair and maintenance.
The Australian wind turbine sector is projected to expand substantially, driven by the increasing acceptance of wind energy and the need to meet power demand through renewable sources. The acquisition of ARC Wind marks Aurora’s second major international acquisition, following the purchase of Cotech Group in the US. The company plans to establish a training center in Canberra to support the skills needed for the Australian wind sector.
Aurora aims to leverage its expertise in the UK and North American wind sectors to help drive forward Australia’s renewable energy industry. The acquisition of ARC Wind is seen as a strategic move to support the growth of the Australian wind energy sector, aligning with the country’s goals of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. This acquisition is part of Aurora’s broader strategy to become a global provider of renewable energy services, with a focus on sustainable growth and expansion.
