Panasonic and tado° Partner to Enhance Energy Control Solutions with Business Alliance Agreement

1. Panasonic Corporation partners with tado° for software development and sales of A2W heat pumps.
2. A2W heat pumps reduce CO2 emissions and are in demand in Europe for their environmental benefits.
3. The alliance aims to provide energy-saving solutions, encourage renewable energy use, and promote decarbonization.

Panasonic Corporation has announced a business alliance with tado°, a German energy control solution company, to develop software for Panasonic’s air-to-water (A2W) heat pumps. This collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency of A2W operations, reduce energy costs for customers, and promote decarbonization, especially in Europe where there is a strong focus on environmental conservation and climate change measures. A2W systems produce fewer CO2 emissions compared to traditional heating equipment that uses fossil fuels, contributing to lower environmental impact.

Panasonic’s Aquarea A2W system, launched in 2008, has been designed based on energy-saving technologies and sustainability principles. By combining their A2W systems with tado°’s Smart Thermostats, customers can remotely control their indoor heating and cooling units, monitor usage conditions, and operate the equipment efficiently. This collaboration also enables optimal heating and cooling operations based on weather forecasts and usage patterns, further reducing energy costs for customers.

Through this alliance, Panasonic aims to provide energy-saving solutions combining its A2W systems and tado°’s services in Germany and Italy. The joint development of dedicated software for A2W systems is also being considered for future enhancements in energy conservation. Overall, this partnership between Panasonic and tado° signifies a step towards accelerating the transition to green energy in Europe and promoting environmentally conscious practices.
