Belgian Energy Minister Tinne Van der Straeten visited TotalEnergies’ Antwerp refinery battery storage project, where the company announced the development of a second similar project in Belgium. The new project will be located in Feluy and will have a power rating of 25 MW and a capacity of 75 MWh. This project is expected to be operational by the end of 2025 with 40 Intensium Max High Energy lithium-ion containers supplied by Saft. TotalEnergies plans to invest nearly €70 million in these projects, increasing their storage capacity in Belgium to 50 MW/150 MWh.
